I realize that 2009 is far from over, but since we are in the summer blockbuster season, I thought it would be an appropriate time to present a list of the 10 best films of 2009 (so far). There are some great ways that are affected Sherlock Holmes, then there may be some small changes, if everything is said and done, but overall I’m pretty sure this is about how things shake themselves. Without further ado, here are my picks for the best films of the year to date:
10 – I Love You Man – Paul Rudd in Anchorman fame and Jason Segel in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and TV’s How I Met Your Mother team in this classic buddy film about a man who discovered the commitment that he has none, get friends, to defend him at his wedding. Under the urging of her friend Peter Klaven (Rudd) goes on a series of events “man” in the search for a friend and find a better human potential. After several spectacular failures, he met with Sidney Fife (sailing), a painfully honest, and faithful friend. Although seemingly polar opposites of the pair is directly concerned, mainly because of a mutual love of the rock band Rush. However, the fiancĂ©e of Peter Zooey (Rashida Jones) is less than impressed to be Sidney’s influence on her husband.
The film is clever and consistently funny throughout, and has a strong support cast including Jon Favreau, JK Simmons, Jaime Pressley, Andy Sandberg and Jane Curtin. If you missed this in theaters sure to pick it up on DVD, because it is one of the funniest movies of the year.
9 – Coraline – One of the best films of the year is also one of the most unusual. Acting with the voice of Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher and Ian McShane is an animated film Coraline, who see quite different from the normal range you Pixar and DreamWorks. Fanning voices the main character discovers Coraline Jones a secret door in her house, goes through and discovers an alternate reality in real life. The animation is first-class act with stop-motion stereoscopic 3D, and combined with the voice, action and fascinating as the film is an instant classic that will be enjoyed for years by the children and adults.
8 – Watchmen – To be honest, when I heard this movie was coming out, I think he would have finished much higher on the list of best films of the year. This does not mean that I was disappointed – I really liked the movie great – but not quite as much as I thought.
Very different from typical superhero films like Spiderman and X-Men movie is definitely darker, Gritty side in the spirit of a film like Sin City. The film is not as action packed as I expected, and tends to wander and / or drag in parts. However, the quality is top notch and the story of Rorschach (Jackie Earle Hayley) is particularly good. For fans of the graphic novel this film could be something of a disappointment, but it is much better than big-budget movies such as GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
