A List of Some of the Best Martial Arts Films From the Past Decade

September 5th, 2010

Movies with some form of martial arts are just one of my favorite genres to see. In fact, one thing I always appreciate it when you are on flat-screen televisions in a fashionable restaurant or on an old TV to a party at home the old school Kung Fu flicks in the background. These films helped define a new generation of martial arts films, and while many older movies have earned the status of a classic, new martial arts film is often visually stunning.

Here is a list of some of my favorite martial arts films of the last decade.

A movie that I will certainly give a little love for Fearless Jet Lee. This film is based on the true story of a Chinese fighter during a dark period for the country. It is an incredibly inspiring film with stunning visual effects, and perhaps most beautiful films of Jet Li to date.

Another film that should not make a list of this kind, old school or is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. This video shows the audience a new level of special effects for movies martial arts. Ang Lee published the big game with him and helped invent a new genre of film. » Read more: A List of Some of the Best Martial Arts Films From the Past Decade

PUSH Movie Review – Hey, They Forgot to Film the Last 10 Pages of the Script!

September 5th, 2010

I do not regret the assessment that looks suspicious to me this film, NBC’s Heroes. Anyway, for those loyal to the current mess, the unbridled hero, I spent the money so that you keep your integrity and not to push to pay if you do not want to stay. Either fortunately or unfortunately, depending on the point of view, Push is generally better than what NBC concocted on Monday evening recently.

Allow me to my final word on the push / what the heroes of the first way. What do I think there was no borrowing “of intellectual property rights here?” I can not deny that at least in concept, there are certainly similarities that are hard to swallow this opportunity. As I mentioned in the previous article, I do not know who “borrowed” from whom and what were the intentions, but he is certainly trying to create the same universe. To continue, press the action is almost directly in the “action” in the first half of the third season of Heroes (I go into the rest of the review). Push In defense of the execution, tone, and gender of this film is a different animal from that of hero. This is about an action film with some paranormal associations. So no more talk on intellectual Thievery me on this subject, but in all fairness, I can later call Heroes in the review for the purpose of comparison, pure and simple.

I would also point out to this extent, Tim Kring and NBC do not seem to have hard feelings here from advertising push is in Heroes now and surprise, there was an announcement with NBC Heroes videos played before the movie began in the theater. I think that there is no doubt that had fans of Push Up On Heroes.

And now the feature presentation. Push is on Nick Gant, a guy a little unhappy with underdeveloped telekinetic powers, which is involved in a plot of the Division, an arm of the U.S. government tries to increase the proportion of the population with “building” as root Soldiers: Yes, as in a rapidly developing and forgotten subplot in the third Season of Heroes. Division has a serum to improve and expand the capabilities “of these people who have not developed to the serum of Heroes, which offers opportunities to help people be confused without them.

Division seems to have been for some time after the second World War, but the destruction of the only apparently viable version of this serum is apparently the only thing to bring, “the definition of the division have been.” You do not know the logic here, because the division has very well without a viable version of this serum for years. In addition, the center of it all seems, from a syringe filled with this serum recovered. It is a bit odd that the guy who developed the serum would not be the formula used to it or an idea in order to pursue new.

Division appears with a broad base of “Lights,” “Moonlighting” and “work trigger”. LEDs are people who can see the future, are people who have a sniffer highly developed sense of smell and the handle are people who the uncanny ability to slide over the heads of other thoughts.

Then, in the middle of a lot of quirks, illogical and insane, we get some scenes hijinx action and action is not frightening. It’s actually pretty good. Probably the strengths of the film Dakota Fanning and Chris Evans, the “hero” of history plays. They manage to produce some power in this rather entertaining mishmash in the darkness of a movie. They succeeded in the soil just enough things that most scandalous problems of logic of action at home is not really begin to beat until it is almost complete. Part of the problem is our hero, that they will do everything, from the visionaries of the division, always know that the future can be seen. To turn the lights ability to see their next train, they brew to foil a plot and not smart, which is the core of the law at end.

This leads to the view points cop Great Push. They use a way to the cheese end, several large action set-pieces. You see, since LEDs Division are as good for the future, if our main force is in a situation hopeless Division put easy to do and say it, because the “visionaries” not see our main characters die in this way, and they are afraid they see coming in the future to change in their favor. So we have some scenes where everything is painted in a corner with the disappearance of the image to speak, so. Lieber.

So what the hell is the push to his heart? It is an hour and 52 minutes tease packaged in an action movie. The film was a joy to go where he goes. Unfortunately, where it practically anywhere. The film does not end. Sometimes, when you say a movie that you: “Man, it’s going clear that the device for a sequel.” In the case of shear, one can not really say that because the film does not end. It literally stops before the story is over. It is not only set to continue, he would be needed to finish the story. to speak the damn thing stops mid-sentence. In my professional opinion, for it is a cheap ass thing for someone, the full price paid for the tickets. The Empire Strikes are the disadvantages of a resolution of more than pushing the story.

So I push cattle logic with the fact that a story is completely dissolved. Yes, there is an immediate danger to the smaller resolution of the main characters as the credits roll, but they still fall in the middle of the solution of the story to a halt, as it is. So while the film stands out as an announcement almost two hours reading, that we never see that box when bombs at the box office.

So what is my final verdict on this issue? The story has some holes in the plot are quite striking. The only real motivation for the main characters is a bit shrouded in a plot that is never resolved. The climax of the film does not really make much sense when it is done quite well in terms of the measure. There are a lot of shooting, shouting and running. The film is the hot for a mess, but not without pleasure. Not sure I can, moreover, that suggest, if. It is without doubt a beautiful Saturday afternoon, 12 clock matinee diversion. I would say that you want to save the money to spend on a note for this purpose and to spend a large popcorn and drinks at the premiere of Watchmen next month.

It is indeed a sad statement that it was to push as much fun as it was for all the problems. It’s just told me that the script was a little effort, far from a damn solid film if they tried a little harder. I hate pushing it, but I hate sloppy storytelling and the lack of an “end” of history.

Sci-Fi – Psychological Or Action?

September 5th, 2010

Remember that scene from Toy Story when Buzz Light year ignoring the child (of Star Command), and began his old buddy, Woody, the cowboy? Now Western movies are a bit like a thing of the past – not, as you see a lot of Rio Bravo NOONS or too high in those days. What you see most frequently watched science fiction. There are a few of these a year more if the ones that count in the not so distant future. And let’s face it, this kind of film allows for other such use of the imagination (except fantasy)? What separates most of these films is not the category to which he belongs, is discussed post-apocalyptic alien invasion or the horror of outer space, but the way the idea. And there are only two kinds of sci-fi movies if you are at the base: the arrival of the psychological and action-adventure. Now, during the action sci-fi has been known to be very popular, to see how different films can be formed from the same basic idea.

Sunshine vs. Core
The idea: a cosmic body dies and humanity will die with her. A mission to save the world is.

Action: Planet Earth is to die in the database, because some really bad geology. Aaron Eckhart leading a team of elite soldiers and scientists into the heart of a nuclear device to restart is not dying pigeons. The core of science do not leave at the door, he keeps taunting not be possible to get the entire length of the film. It focuses on the special effects, action and Hilary Swank.

Psychology: Apparently, drove a Q-ball in the direction of the sun and he died. An elite team of soldiers and scientists together to put a payload into the sun, restarting the dying star. And how hard to swallow that some scenes, the film was a physicist at CERN as a consultant. Hey! a person can actually survive exposure to vacuum of space for everything a few seconds, but it is uncomfortable. The film focuses on the crew and the problems caused by the stress of the mission, the fascination with the sun and the claustrophobia that comes out in a spaceship than a year. » Read more: Sci-Fi – Psychological Or Action?
